What are you passionate about? What lights you up?
I practice yoga not to become whole but to wipe the lens clean to see, to feel, and to know I am already whole… and so are YOU!! Sometimes I wonder what the heck I was doing in my life before I met yoga… and surfing. The ocean is my sanctuary, the salt water cleanses me and surfing fills my heart with joy. Along with my yoga mat, it’s where I create, play, explore, stumble and learn. I also LOVE to share yoga and my physical therapy knowledge. It lights me up! I was (and still) am nervous to speak publicly in front of at least 35 students, but I do it weekly. I would choose my college classes based on if they had a required oral presentation. If so, no way! And I’m not alone, public speaking is one of the highest ranked phobias. BUT as I learned over the years, practicing helps. It gets easier, I promise. The butterflies are there to remind me I care about the movement philosophies of physical therapy and that it’s a privilege to teach the ancient practice of yoga plus impart what my incredible teachers have instilled in me. When you share what you love, it becomes easier.
I am passionate about practicing life and being a student of life! It sparks my spirit! I practice having a sense of openness to discover new information for my own evolution as a human. I love learning about the various facets of health for the optimum function of my own body but also to offer that knowledge with my patients and students. I have a dialogue and inquiry for my self-investigation process: How am I moving? What am I eating? How am I feeling? What can I learn? What can I share? I practice gathering data in a simplistic way to access my intelligent intuition in order to get to know myself better… I continually practice…
Practice cultivating intelligent intuition
Practice letting go
Practice rest, relaxation, meditation
Practice because I love to practice and share what I know, what I love, and what I have experienced with others
Live and Practice
Practice __________ (you fill in the blank)
Practice life and live life. What lights you up? What are you passionate about? Do more of that, live it, and practice it!
Keep practicing, keep shining!
