Holiday Yogurt Bark

the body book - the longevity book - cameron diaz

The holidays have fast approached and so has the inspiration to create some festive treats. For this specific recipe I was craving a little bit of everything. The best of all worlds, if you will. And even though there is some sweet and salty, I wanted to aim for some nutrition as well. The deep and rich redness provided by the pomegranate seeds also provide us with a favorable amount of beautiful anti-oxidants. The trusty green pumpkin seeds as well as the plain Greek yogurt both add some stabilizing healthy fats and protein to the mix.

Evidently this recipe can be altered in many ways to accommodate your specific wants and needs. This can be made healthy by choosing your toppings wisely and it can be a super fun and interactive activity to do with the kids. The hardest part is just waiting for it to solidify. Make a few batches and gift to your neighbors, teachers, and holidays hosts.

Holiday Yogurt Bark

1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tbsp. honey
Mini pretzels
Pumpkin seeds
Crushed dark chocolate

In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt and the honey.

Spread out this mixture on a piece of parchment paper sitting atop a baking sheet (or a large
Tupperware lid).

Sprinkle on your toppings and transfer your bark to-be to the freezer.

Either freeze overnight or for at least 2 hours before breaking apart into enjoyable sized pieces.
