Fresh Spring Hair You Can DIY In A Quick Minute | 3 Tutorials

It’s spring and the start of festival season, which means we’re into fresh and easy hair we can vibe with for any occasion. Here, we’ve laid out three easy-breezy styles you can totally DIY at the drop of a hairpin. Oh and if you’re thinking these hairstyles look a little familiar, you’re right! These fresh looks were inspired by this year’s Academy Awards. Have fun dressing them up or down, for a fashionable spring season!

Look One: The Two Strand Boho Braid

Why We Love It:

Inspired by Brie Larson, this look can be dressed down or up (by wearing a hair brooch like Brie), always maintaining it’s boho elegance.

Get The Look:

Form two French braids on both sides of the head using about 2 inch strands of hair on each side.

Hold both braids in place with elastic bands and fold braids on top of one another at the back of the head.

Pin both braids together, weaving them in place to create the ease and appeal of one continuous, chunky braid. Hold both braids in place with elastic bands and fold braids on top of one another at the back of the head.

Look Two: The Wrap Around Braided Bun

Why We Love It:

Inspired by Olivia Wilde, this look is perfect for brunch or a night out on the down with your love. Wear it to work, or keep it up and away for a sweltering day.

Get The Look:

Form one French braid on one side of your head and secure it with an elastic band.

On the other side, begin another French braid, but this time gathering the entire length and width of your hair in a cascading braid.

Gather your cascading braid into a bun and join your first braid with the bun to complete the look.

Look Three: The Modern French

Spring Hair Tutorial: The Modern French Braid

Why We Love It:

Inspired by Chrissy Teigen, this traditional braid is anything but boring with it’s volume, thickness and face framing layers. This is our modern go-to braid!

Get The Look:

Begin forming an inverted 3D French braid at the crown to add dimension and give your braid some pop! In other words, braid from underneath versus over top!

Gather your sides loosely so they fall gently along the sides, framing your face and giving every angle an angelic appearance.

Make your braid fuller by tugging at its edges to create width. Tuck any loose ends with bobby pins.
