We’ve all been there when we think we’ve got a million dollar idea, the perfect job, or a grand new plan. Then we start down the path to conquer and everything seems to go wrong.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur or not I know at times you’ve felt like you’ve wanted to give up.

So what do you do when the fears creep in, you start saying horrible things about yourself, and melting down? Keep reading, I got you!

First, know we’ve ALL been there; no one is exempt from being tired and flirting with giving up. You’re not alone.

Ok, now on to the good stuff!

Admit You Need To Make a Change

This can be one of the hardest things to do, admitting to yourself what you’re doing isn’t working. Once you admit your failures you can make adjustments, but until then you’re stuck. If you find yourself saying things like, “Next week or month it will be better,” but then “better” never happens, it’s time to admit that something has to give. The sooner you do this, so sooner you can adjust.

Is there something in your life or business that feels like you’re trying to fit a square peg in a round hole? Admit it to yourself so you can move on and be free!

Call In The Troops

Utilize your support system and get an outside perspective. Once you’ve been honest with yourself in admitting that change is needed you can ask for help. Whether it be the support of friends, your partner, a coach or mentor, having someone to help you see a different angle is imperative.

By speaking your fears and admitting your failures, you allow yourself to take your power back. Fear has no place once we say it and get it off our chest. In a way, we’re all just failing forward and readjusting with each move. People in our support system will usually remind us of what we’ve done right that we’ve since forgotten about. It’s easy to focus on everything that isn’t working and forget what is. Be open to feedback!

Make the adjustment

Now that you know what isn’t working and have gotten some support you can make some moves. I recommend writing everything down and getting organized with your plan. When we don’t release our feelings, either on paper or something other way, it’s easy to continue to feel overwhelmed with everything stuck in our minds. Instead of avoiding what’s going on, take one action that will immediately make a difference. This will give you confidence in your new plan and the motivation to keep going.

Never give up on your dreams or the calling in your heart. We all go through failures and hard times but if you’ve got something in your heart it was put there for a reason. I believe in you! Never give up!
